L'Indochineur joins in with the approach of Fair Trade.

In the absence of a standard for Fair Trade, L'Indochineur has established a work chart with the craftsmen:

• Know the producers and craftsmen and work directly with them without any middlemen.
• No child work exploitation
• Make a down payment at the time of the order to enable the purchase of raw materials since the craftsmen don't have any stock at their disposal.
• Pay the full settlement on delivery.
• Establish a lasting relationship between L'Indochineur and the craftsmen to help the craftsmen have a long-term view and to help L'Indochineur obtain better quality products.
• L'Indochineur favours quality: L'Indochineur prefers paying a higher price for its products to obtain a better quality.
• We hope this approach will be profitable to the craftsmen as well as L'Indochineur.

Style

The line of our products is inspired by Japanese style which favours refined and natural shapes. This selection of Asian handicraft objects is conceived to adapt itself in Occidental interiors.

L'Indochineur is always in contact with its craftsmen-partners thanks to a permanent local presence. L'Indochineur also works with personal projects or orders. L'Indochineur continually develops new products and can create samples on demand.

L'Indochineur's products are presented in bamboo woven boxes or in carton boxes when bamboo is not convenient. Accessories, jewellery and flatware are presented in cases.
