Công Trình is our first jewelry collection created in collaboration with a stone sculptor. Choosing stone—an emblematic material of architecture—led us to reflect on the Vietnamese urban landscape and the legacy of a blended modernity born from the French presence in Vietnam.

From the 1930s onward, collaborations multiplied between Vietnamese and French architects, giving rise to hybrid and exuberant architectures: Nguyễn Văn Ninh with François Lagisquet on Hanoi’s Cercle Sportif (French Sports Club), Tạ Mỹ Duật with Henri Cerutti on the Hanoi Post Office, as well as numerous projects carried out by mixed agencies (Paul Veysseyre, Trương Ngọc Phu, Nguyễn Văn Ninh).

We see a shared taste for a modernity that does not exclude vernacular elements. Among the landmarks that inspire the collection are the French Sports Club of Hanoi, the Hanoi Post Office, and the Pasteur Institute of Đà Lạt.

We designed these pieces by layering our lines over those of these iconic buildings. The pairing of black lacquer and the gleam of brass heightens the sense of solids and voids, staging a contemporary vision of the Vietnamese urban landscape.
