Tử Vi is a jewelry collection that explores the Vietnamese horoscope.
Deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture to this day, it foretells individual destinies through 12 signs.
As in Chinese astrology, each year of birth falls under the tutelary figure of an animal.
However, their natures differ: the cat, the buffalo, and the goat exist only in the Vietnamese horoscope, and Vietnamese astrology combines, for each sign, one of the five elements: Metal (Kim), Wood (Mộc), Water (Thủy), Fire (Hỏa), and Earth (Thổ).
That is why the pieces in this collection are modular, allowing their wearer to pair their sign with their element.
The collection draws its formal inspiration from Russian Constructivism, and more specifically from Alexandre Rodchenko’s Animaux à construire.
Horn shapes interlock to form small chimeras with mother-of-pearl heads, light and delicate in volume.
